Materials We Accept

At Koa Nova Ltd, we are committed to making plastics and cardboard recycling as simple

and efficient as possible for both businesses and individuals. We accept a wide range of

materials, from everyday packaging waste to more specialised industrial plastics and

cardboard, ensuring that nothing goes to waste. Recycling plastics and cardboard helps

conserve natural resources, reduce carbon emissions, and minimise the environmental

impact of producing new materials from virgin resources.

Our expert team ensures that all materials are processed responsibly, and we offer

competitive rates for every type of material we handle.

Plastics

Plastics are among the most common waste materials, but they are also some of the most important to recycle. By recycling plastics, we reduce the need for new plastic production,

conserve energy, and limit the environmental damage caused by plastic waste in landfills and oceans.

We accept a wide variety of plastic materials, including:

  • PET: Used in beverage bottles, food containers, and packaging.
  • HDPE: Commonly used in milk jugs, detergent bottles, and pipes.
  • PVC: Used in pipes, window frames, and packaging.
  • LDPE: Found in plastic bags, shrink wrap, and squeezable bottles.
  • PP: Used in packaging, car parts, and reusable containers.
  • PS: Used in packaging, insulation, and disposable cutlery.

Recycling plastics reduces the need for new plastic production, lowers greenhouse gas emissions, and helps protect the environment from plastic pollution.

Cardboard

Cardboard is a highly recyclable material used in packaging, shipping, and storage. Recycling cardboard helps reduce deforestation, conserve water and energy, and reduce landfill

waste.

We accept a wide range of cardboard materials, including:

  • Corrugated Cardboard: Commonly used for shipping boxes and packaging.
  • Fibreboard: Used in product packaging and as a protective material for products.
  • Boxboard/Cartonboard: Used for cereal boxes, shoe boxes, and other lightweight packaging.
  • Mixed Cardboard: We also accept cardboard waste that may be contaminated with minor amounts of other materials, such as tape or labels, which we remove during processing.

Recycling cardboard helps reduce the environmental impact of deforestation, lowers energy use, and contributes to a more circular economy.

Plastic Films

Plastic films are widely used in packaging and shipping, but they often end up as waste. At Koa Nova Ltd, we specialise in recycling plastic films, helping to reduce the environmental

burden caused by this difficult-to-manage material.

We accept:

  • Shrink Wrap: Used for packaging pallets and large products.
  • Plastic Bags: Retail and grocery bags, as well as other flexible packaging.
  • Pallet Wrap: Heavy-duty wrap used to secure products during transportation.

Recycling plastic films helps conserve energy and reduce waste that would otherwise contribute to pollution and landfill overflow.

Mixed Recyclables

In addition to individual materials, we accept mixed recyclables, which may include combinations of plastics, cardboard, and other recyclable materials. Our advanced sorting processes ensure that all materials are separated and recycled efficiently.

By recycling with Koa Nova Ltd, you’re ensuring that your waste materials are processed responsibly and put back into use, reducing the need for virgin material production and lowering carbon emissions.
